Real Life Tetris

The hubs and I hit up Ikea this morning - they currently have a sale on dining room chairs that we could NOT pass up. Buy three, get one free.

So we bought eight!! (and got two of them for free)...after we had their yummy $1 breakfast (scrambled eggs, two sausages and potatoes - yum yum).

I can't tell you how much we love getting a good deal, so two free dining chairs was something that just made sense (since we had planned to buy eight dining chairs anyway) and we could not pass up - the best part is that they are super comfy too.

Here is how they fit into the decor plan for the dining room (which is the least planned out room in the house right now):

Not quite finished dining room mood board
We picked up four Nils style chairs with the Dillne gray/beige covers. Two of them will be placed at the head of the dining table (pictured in the mood board) and the other two will be placed elsewhere in the house.

We also chose four of the Henriksdal chairs with the Kungsvik Sand covers. They match the Nils chair covers nicely and also have a similar tone to the Benjamin Moore Muslin we chose for the walls on the main floor. They have nice high backs which means we can sit comfortably in them for as long as it takes us to gobble up our dinner!

Now I just have to talk the Hubs into letting me get the Cluster Glass pendant from West Elm and my vision will be complete!

Here's how we got eight Ikea boxes/chairs home with us...it took about 20 minutes to "Tetris" them into the Tucson, but the Hubs is seriously a Tetris master at packing, so I knew he'd find a way:
